Four Members in Domestic Finals

With both the One-Day Cup and the Women’s National Cricket League Finals being played this weekend, four NSWCUSA members have been appointed to officiate as the domestic titles are decided.

Today sees the WNCL Final played at Blundstone Arena, with Tasmania hosting Queensland as they look for their third title in a row.

Supplementary Panel umpire Troy Penman will be on-field for the match, for what will be his second WNCL Final, having previously been on-field in 2020.

He also acted as TV Umpire in 2021 and in 2023, meaning tomorrow will be his fourth involvement in the same match in the last five years.

Cricket Central in Sydney Olympic Park will host the Men’s One-Day Cup Final on Sunday as New South Wales host Western Australia.

National Panel Gerard Abood will be TV Umpire for the match, marking the third time he has officiated the Final in the TV Umpire role.

In recent years he has also been involved on-field in the fixture, in the middle for the decider in 2019, 2021 and 2023.

International scorers Toni Lorraine and Adrian Tham have been selected to score the Final at Cricket Central.

It will be Lorraine’s second One-Day Cup Final, having previously recorded the 2021 Final at Bankstown Oval, amongst a total of eight national finals.

For Tham it will be his first time scoring a national final, coming in his 68th major representative match.

The Association congratulates and extends best wishes to all match officials involved in both Finals.

Both matches will be broadcast on cricket.com.au, Kayo and Fox Cricket.
